Howdy,
The most frequent question I get asked is, “Why the name Clown Co.?” Well here is a photo of me when I was a professional Clown.
My sister and I started this business in 1986 out of our house. In January of 1987 we opened up the first retail store, which was 500 square feet, in Old Mesquite Central Shopping Center.
At that time we did sublimation printing on caps and t-shirts, etc.; we were also a clown booking agency, sold clown supplies, did T-shirt transfers, sold balloons and magic tricks. We moved to Broadmoore Plaza in 1989 to a much bigger store of 1000 square foot. In 1991 we purchased our first piece of screen printing equipment, a 4c manual press. In 1994 we moved across the center to a bigger store front with 2000 square ft. and in 1999 we purchased our first automatic screen printer, a 6/8 M&R. After we purchased the automatic machine our business took off.
On October 15, 2000 we moved to our present location 706 East Kearny and we now have over 7,000 square feet of space. Since moving here we have purchased more printing equipment, a 10/12 M&R automatic. On screen printing we are now offering plastisol, water based inks and discharge inks as well as fashion based, distressed, washed out.
Embroidery has come into our business slowly; we purchased 1 machine and kept it running all the time, so we bought a second machine to keep up. Both of these machines are single heads; and because our business has grown rapidly we now have a machine with 6 heads.
In digital printing we offer stickers, banners and vehicle wraps.
